Mapplex guides
Mapplex connects projects, maps, forms, field observations, and data exchange. Use this path to prepare a small working project, check it on the intended device, and build a repeatable field process.
Follow the global learning path
Start the four-part global walkthrough: capture → configure → deliver → exchange. Each part has a completion checkpoint and a next lesson. The sample-count timeline explains 48 → 49 → 50 → 51 features and the separate practice projects. Geova AI is an optional follow-on.
Start with a task

| Choose the screen that owns your task | Find the right screen and tool |
| Draw through context menus and the precision crosshair | Contextual drawing |
| Understand workspace, project, layer, and form | How the main parts fit together |
| Follow setup, collection, delivery, and optional AI review | Your first field project |
| Explore New York, London and Tokyo with phone and tablet images | Global field walkthrough |
| Prepare forms and practise drawing over satellite imagery | Night-mode field setup |
| Review an offline save, export global data and prepare a team handover | Review, sync and deliver |
| Use the regular form and exchange CAD or shapefile data | Standard capture, CAD and SHP |
| Verify AI counts and summaries, and check voice readiness | Geova AI review and voice readiness |
| Collect with an already prepared project | Field collector quick-start |
| Prepare a team for limited connectivity | Prepare for offline work |
| Keep repeated visits linked to one asset | Record repeated inspections |
| Resolve pending saves and uncertain updates | Check sync and recover saved work |
| Capture and review phone positions | Phone positioning |
| Understand an RTK deployment | RTK setup & requirements |

Prepare → collect → review → deliver
- Prepare: choose a project, organize layers, define forms and controlled values, and load reference data.
- Collect: choose the active layer, review each location, enter attributes, and attach evidence.
- Review: check completeness, geometry, relationships, and synchronization state. Use Geova AI where it helps answer a specific question.
- Deliver: confirm the required format and export a sample before preparing the full handover.
Find the detailed reference
- Prepare: Projects, layers, and forms.
- Collect: Map tools, positioning, and the illustrated slope exercise (reference).
- Connect: Data & synchronization and team roles.
- Deliver: Map PDFs, CAD, engineering drawings, and Shapefiles.
The complete guide index and existing reference URLs remain available.
Before field deployment
Check access & requirements, then test the complete workflow on the actual device. A browser home-screen shortcut does not guarantee disconnected startup; use the approved Android application when that is required.
