Choose your starting point
Start with the work you want to complete. You can move between the three paths as your project grows.
Which path fits your work?
| I want to… | Start here | What you will leave with |
|---|---|---|
| Prepare a team for field collection | Mapplex: your first field project | A small project with a layer, form, two reviewed records, and a checked handover |
| Collect in an already prepared project | Field collector quick-start | A short checklist for location, answers, save, and delivery |
| Work where connectivity is limited | Prepare for offline work | A device and project checked for disconnected field use |
| Record repeat inspections without duplicating an asset | Record repeated inspections | A parent asset with separate linked visits |
| Recover work that is saved but not yet delivered | Check sync and recover saved work | A checked result and the appropriate recovery path |
| Ask a question about spatial data | Ask a spatial question | A scoped question and a result you know how to inspect |
| Turn an idea into a project structure | Project Planner | A reviewed design before project creation |
| Develop a system around an operational process | Define your system | A brief describing the users, data, workflow, and intended outcome |
How the pieces fit
Geova develops connected spatial systems. Geova AI adds spatial analysis, planning, and reviewable reasoning within the applications and projects Geova delivers. Mapplex brings these capabilities into field collection, positioning, and handover.
An excavation request system or demolition management system can bring together maps, request records, reviews, and field activity. The systems guides explain those possibilities through illustrative workflows.
Before you begin
Confirm your access, device, and workspace requirements. If you already use a Geova-built system, follow the deployment instructions supplied for that application; its screens and permissions may differ from Mapplex.
For a low-risk first exercise, use a small sample project with representative data. Decide who will review the result before using the workflow on a live project.
How to use these guides
Task guides explain the purpose, what you need, the steps, the expected result, and what to check if something goes wrong. The detailed Mapplex references remain available under the relevant sidebar groups.
Search by the task or tool name using Search guides in the navigation. On a small screen, use Browse guides to open the sidebar.
