Access & requirements
The tools you see depend on the application supplied to your organization, its release, your workspace, your role, and the device you use. Confirm those details before preparing a field or project workflow.
Choose the right application
| Your work | What to arrange |
|---|---|
| Mapplex fieldwork | Obtain the approved installation or web address from your organization. For dependable disconnected startup, use the approved Android application and prepare the project first. |
| Geova AI in Mapplex | Confirm the active workspace and project, AI access, network connection, and any required credits. |
| Project Planner | Confirm that Planner and the required creation permissions are enabled for your workspace. Review the proposed structure before confirming creation. |
| A system developed by Geova | Use the application address, roles, and deployment-specific guide supplied for your project. |
Request Mapplex access or discuss a connected system.
Check the field tools you need
| Capability | Requirements to confirm | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary phone positioning | Location services and permissions, a suitable environment, and a reviewed coordinate | Phone positioning |
| Enhanced Phone Capture | A supplied build with the setting available, compatible device support, and a stationary capture | Enhanced capture steps |
| RTK workflows | A Geova-enabled deployment, a validated external receiver and firmware, correction arrangements, and the correct coordinate setup | RTK requirements |
| Slope and cross-section profiles | Supported motion sensors, permissions, and calibration | Slope Profiler |
| Advanced exports | An enabled format, the right role, and any required conversion service | Capability reference |
Know what requires connectivity
Prepared local collection can continue without cloud access after the application and project are available on the device. Cloud synchronization, sign-in, workspace collaboration, and generative AI need connectivity. Nearby device transfer has its own supported-device and local-network requirements.
Some deterministic field checks can run without a language-model request or an AI credit. That does not make every Geova AI action available offline. See Geova AI in Mapplex for the distinction.
If a tool is missing or disabled
- Confirm that you opened the intended application, workspace, and project.
- Check your role and the feature requirements with your administrator.
- Confirm the approved application version and device support.
- Check connectivity and device permissions where relevant.
- Ask Geova or your administrator to confirm availability for your deployment.
Do not change a live project's setup merely to make a tool appear. Resolve access first, then follow the relevant task guide.
